The craziest thing happened today...

I work at the College of Forest Resources, most of you know this, it's important to the story here.

About two weeks ago I sent out invitations to the CFR student awards banquet. We invite donors to come and meet students.

Look at the invitation. Do you see anything wrong with it?

Well the number on the page is 601.325.4832. The number I want people to call to RSVP is 662.325.4832. Well most people know that its 662 anyway so I figured it would not be that big of a problem.

One wonderful donor pointed this out to our foundation officer and he (foundation officer) intern told me. We laughed about it.

Another donor called to tell us the same thing, but he had called the number listed (601) and it is the sanitation department. FUNNY, right?

So after consulting with my superiors I decided to call the number and tell them to refer an calls to me at (662).

I call the number and a busy man answers (he seemed like he was busy).
After an awkward conversation because its not a person at a desk like i expected...I realize....

the voice sounds familiar....the rest of the convo went like this:

Me: "Who is this?"

Man: "I am a part time work for the city"

Me: "Is this John Burch?"

Man: "Yes"

Me: "Do you know who this is?"

Man (aka John Burch): "No, but your voice sound familiar"

Me: "This is your granddaughter-in-law, Morgan!" (not sure why if felt the need to identify my self as Morgan because i am his only granddaughter-in-law.)

John Burch: "Well, what are you doing?"

Then we proceed to talk about Easter plans and 401K's.

DNow at Northcrest Baptist

My dear friend over at Chelsea Lou to the Rescue invited me, AnW, The Baking Brides hubby, and a few other people we know to do a DNow at Northcrest Baptist church in Meridian, MS.

We have done this DNow before, the students are great so there was no hesitation to go back again.

Here is the group of girls me and Ashly worked with.

Saturday afternoon we went on a scavenger hunt around Meridian

We had a great time! In case you were wondering me and AnW were group leaders and i was the one behind the IPhone! We had a great team

AnW working at night...

Most of you know that Andrew works at night. I don't mind this...he loves it. I enjoy having the bed to myself and then cuddling with him for 20 or 30 min. when he gets in and before I wake up.

SIDE NOTE: In case your wondering how it works. People always ask us "what time does AnW have to go to work?" Well...Answer. He goes in at 11:00pm and gets off at 7am. He arrives at the Watkins house around 7:15am, does a few chores, then climbs in bed with me until I wake up around 8am to be at work at 9am (best part of my day).

There are many benefits to him working at night:
1. I get the bed to myself, which is helpful cause I use the entire bed when I sleep
2. A slight pay raise
3. He hates mornings! so he just sleeps right through them now.
4. He loves working at night, NIGHT OWL

There are a few non-benefits to him working at night:
1. The one that is the worst right now (cause it's lunch time) I don't ever get to have AnW as a lunch buddy. This is sad. But I have faithful substitutes in The Baking Bride, Burbuyist, The Davis Daily, and Chelsea Lou To the Rescue.
2. If he has an appointment during the day (like a dentist appointment)he has to sleep through dinner and the rest of the evening.
3. That is all...no need to dwell on the negative.

All this to say, every couple has to make sacrifices. I think the media and people give us false idea of what marriage is. Its not all roses. There are sacrifices to be made by every couple.

All of this just came to me when I realized I did not have lunch buddy, in my husband, today.
