Psalm 37:4 says:
Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Until right now I have never fully understood this verse. The last part "he will give you the desires of your heart" I get, but under what circumstances?
As a Christian the Lords desires become our desires.
I have thought, "oh well that is the catch, they are really his desires anyway" I thought like it was a trick or something.
"delight yourself in the Lord" When we delight ourselves in the Lord it is only natural that his desires would become our desires.
HUMAN EXAMPLE (of above explanation): Before I met AnW my favorite animal was a monkey, I mean since I was born. I even had a stuffed monkey named mischief, I still have him.
Well then I met AnW. His favorite animal was a giraffe. Now, I am obsessed with giraffes. I delighted (got to know and love) AnW and my desires (likes and not likes) became like his. I like giraffes
Here is how I realized this(about the verse):
I went to college to be a teacher. Mostly because it was a pretty much guarantee what I would do after college. I like structure. This reason(for wanting to be a teacher) has changed. About a year or so ago the Lord called me to be a teacher, as in, this will be my mission field. But the full on desire was not there, like it was with the giraffes.
I will no longer be a stay at home mom like I thought I wanted to be. This is a sacrifice ( Paul talks about sacrifice in Philippians 1). This sacrifice is for me absolutely not for everybody. Some people are called, by the Lord, to be full time moms, I truly believe that.
As of late my desire, in my heart, to teach has grown stronger and stronger. Wonder why??
Please read psalm 37:4.
I have grown closer to the Lord, he called me, and now this is what I truly desire. I don't just want to be a teacher because of the structure or guarantee. I want to be a teacher because...
This is the Lord's desire for my life and HE has gotten me all excited about it!
PEOPLE, that is amazing!

Ps-hope you can follow all that!

Most of you already know that I graduated with my Masters this past Friday. My dad just emailed the pictures he took, so I figured I would share! Thanks for the pictures daddy!
Simon was not able to come to my graduation, but this face tells me he really wanted to!
Our speaker....I have to say I got a little, ok a lot bored...
Sitting in the chairs
Walking across the stage!
Coming back to my seat!
Still coming
Here I am the happy graduate after!
Me and my sweet grandmother Sims
Nena and Uncle Alfred! I love them!
me and AnW
Sister! Courtney!
Mama and Daddy. Love y'all!
Me and my favorite professor. So thankful I came to MSU to be in your business education program!
The End!

Royal Wedding
I am not sure how many of you woke up and watched the Royal Wedding, but it was wonderful!
Me and Sierra, Heather, and Chelsea got up and watched on Sierra's big TV at her apartment
We even had royal food, but I didn't take any pictures of the food. Here are the few pictures I did take!

The craziest thing happened today...
I work at the College of Forest Resources, most of you know this, it's important to the story here.
About two weeks ago I sent out invitations to the CFR student awards banquet. We invite donors to come and meet students.
Look at the invitation. Do you see anything wrong with it?
anything?
Well the number on the page is 601.325.4832. The number I want people to call to RSVP is 662.325.4832. Well most people know that its 662 anyway so I figured it would not be that big of a problem.
One wonderful donor pointed this out to our foundation officer and he (foundation officer) intern told me. We laughed about it.
Another donor called to tell us the same thing, but he had called the number listed (601) and it is the sanitation department. FUNNY, right?
So after consulting with my superiors I decided to call the number and tell them to refer an calls to me at (662).
I call the number and a busy man answers (he seemed like he was busy).
After an awkward conversation because its not a person at a desk like i expected...I realize....
the voice sounds familiar....the rest of the convo went like this:
Me: "Who is this?"
Man: "I am a part time work for the city"
Me: "Is this John Burch?"
Man: "Yes"
Me: "Do you know who this is?"
Man (aka John Burch): "No, but your voice sound familiar"
Me: "This is your granddaughter-in-law, Morgan!" (not sure why if felt the need to identify my self as Morgan because i am his only granddaughter-in-law.)
John Burch: "Well, what are you doing?"
Then we proceed to talk about Easter plans and 401K's.
WHAT A SMALL WORLD!!

DNow at Northcrest Baptist
My dear friend over at Chelsea Lou to the Rescue invited me, AnW, The Baking Brides hubby, and a few other people we know to do a DNow at Northcrest Baptist church in Meridian, MS.
We have done this DNow before, the students are great so there was no hesitation to go back again.
Here is the group of girls me and Ashly worked with.
Saturday afternoon we went on a scavenger hunt around Meridian
This picture is "A picture with the whole group standing near a pool with 2 people on a diving board"
Our van driver. He was good we got second place.
"Everyone on a tree, NO CLIMBING"
"Everyone do a Kung Fu seen in front of a statue"
"everyone crowd into a small place, be creative"
"one group member jumping from a swing, catching them in mid air"
"everyone in a pet store, extra points if everyone is holding an animal" we are holding fish
"Everyone with a red convertible"
"entire group with a Harley Davidson, extra points if the biker is in the picture"
"family recipe"
"entire group playing duck, duck, GOOOOOOSE!"
This is my personal favorite, because it looks awesome "everyone jumping in the air"
We had a great time! In case you were wondering me and AnW were group leaders and i was the one behind the IPhone! We had a great team
