Simon eats from a fork....

Yes you heard me! One day for lunch Sierra and I came to my house for lunch. Sierra asked if she could give Simon some left over food in her plate. Sure, I said.

A plate works too.

Sierra's Delicious Chocolate/Peanut butter cake

Sierra made this delicious cake. Enjoy the pics.

She also made cup cakes with the same flavor to celebrate my Comps being over. Love her.

This last one is with the Instagram app, recommended by Pioneer Woman.

It's over, and I have pictures!!

My comps are finally over! I want to shout it from the roof tops!!

After my comps were over I got and the car and realized I was hungry. So I called in an order to Abner's. While I waited I went to Walgreen's to get these cookies AnW has been eating for the past week or so. I decided to have one.

oh wait make that two!

I also got this really good tea/lemonade stuff. Not sure why it has George W.'s picture on it, but it does

Then I went and got my meal from Abner's and went home!

I decided when I ordered that i was really hungry so I order "The Plate" which has 5 chicken tenders. After the cookies there was no way i could finish all of that chicken.

Here is what is left.

I also shared a little bit with Simon Dog

He loves french fries. You can see the intensity in his eyes!

What Simon didn't get AnW found in the fridge later. He loves when i bring leftovers home.

Again, sorry no pictures

It is 9:46pm on Wednesday night.

I have read over all of my information and feel like I can not hold anymore information in my head.

I don't know if will be able to remember it all in the morning...but the Lord will help me through it. He answers the prayers of his people. Thank you to everyone who has said they would pray for me.

Glory, for great friends and family!

I take my exam at 8am, if your the praying type...and I have not already petitioned you for prayer please say a quick prayer for me. Pray I will retain, well I guess remember at this point, information and that I will not be bitter towards Professor #3 (see last blog) .

Thanks, Friends
MoW

Ps: I promise a picture blog one day next week, that is if i ever want to look at a computer again after typing for 4 hours. Holla!

Sorry, no pictures...

WARNING:long blog with no pictures, feel free not to read.

I really don't like posting blogs without pictures. There is no picture to associate with this topic, unless I showed you my stressed out face, cause that is what I am.

I am taking my comprehensive exams (for my Masters degree) on Thursday. Everyone that has taken them has told me not to worry about them. They continue by saying I was really stressed about them and then I took them and they were a breeze.

I have 4 questions. My major professor writes 2 questions and then two other professors write 1 each.

My major professor's question, I feel like, will be a breeze. I have had her for A LOT of classes and feel like I know her grading style.

Professor #2 has been very clear about his question and has been really great to meet with me and answer any question I may have. #2's question is on theory (you know; constructivism, behaviorism, and cognitivism). I have studied about these since my first class at Mississippi State. I think I can handle that one too.

Here is where the stress comes in! Professor #3. #3 means well, but it is stressing me out. Professor #3 gave me 5 chapters in a book to read. They were even short chapters, and very helpful to my teaching career. For the relevance I was thankful. But, the stressor is...professor #3 is only going to pick one of the articles for me to write about, but I have to be completly prepared for each one of them. AND did i mention that i have to site it APA at the end. And let me be honest I don't know how to to do that(I told her I did, forgive me Lord). I am a technology major; Microsoft Word will do it for you, Why would I waist my time in learning how to do it...just saying. This question is more stressful, than the others, because I have very little prior knowledge of these subjects unlike the other questions from professors #1 and #2.

All this to say please lift a pray for me between 12pm and 5pm on March 24th.

Fun Family moment for the blog...

I have posted this picture on facebook before, but I think it is blog worthy.

My family (Sims) got together for grandmothers birthday (note grandmother in the blue). We had pineapple upside down cake and naturally it had cherries on top. Some of us Sims like cherries and some don't. In this picture Nena (Aunt Danita) is tossing a cherry across the table for Austin to catch, in his mouth, because someone on that end of the table did not want their cherry.

Fun moment, glad I captured it!

I make a lot of grammatical errors in my blogs...

I am sure if you read my blog you have noticed that have I a lot of typos and grammatical errors. Today I was reading a few of my previous blogs and realized it my self. This is not acceptable.

I blame it partially on my iPhone...darn auto correct makes for some really silly sentences sometimes.

I was reading Pioneer Woman's 10 tips for blogging and trying not to make grammatical errors and typos is one of her tips. Here is the link. http://thepioneerwoman.com/blog/2010/09/ten-important-things-ive-learned-about-blogging/

So I vow to proof read all of my blogs from here on out...

I will not be perfect, but I will not have silly sentences anymore.

The things I love about my iPhone....4, that is

I am one of "those people" who really loves their iPhone. I try to be conscious of it and not have it in my face all the time. I fail alot. It does so many things for me and I am a "do it right now" kind of a person, the iPhone encourages that part of me.

Here is a list, not a complete list but a list, of things I love about my iPhone 4.

Email! I need it with me where ever I go. Well, atleast now I do. I don't know how I could go without these days.
Sometimes it is frustrating getting work emails on my phone. Sometimes I think "I really could have waited till monday to ready that." Other times I have to be away from work and it really comes in handy.

Text messages are in conversations. This is brilliant and convient.
In this particular conversation me and the husband(I will come up with a fun name to call him in my blogs, but for now its Andrew, hub, or husband) are having a disagreement about which bags to use for shopping at wal-mart. Many of you know that I love resuable shopping bags, because the are cute. I wanted to use them to shop and Andrew insisted on using regular wal-mart bags because we needed them for trash bags in the bathroom. I lost.

Folders, they are so organized everything on one page.

My blogger app! This is how I started blogging and for an iPhone lover like me it was perfect to get me started. (I am not currently using it to type this blogs, computer keyboards are much faster when they are available.)

my wheel of fortuen app! I am a huge fan and try not to miss it at 6:30 every night on channel 9.

my banking app...I don't keep up with it on paper and this helps me to keep up with our monies

My calender! It like email has become a very important part of my life.
NOTE WHAT IS COMING UP ON FRIDAY THE 25TH! GET EXCITED!

Bibile app. It lays out a reading plan. I need structure so it helps me with that!

NOTE: my browser does not have spell check. I will be downloading Mozzilla today so I will have spell check. Please ignore any mispellings in this post. thank you

Have wonderful day!

The simple things in life

I have alot of little things that I want to blog about, but they aren't big enough for one blog. So, I will just put them all in one big blog here we go.

1. I was waiting on Sierra to come and pick me up for lunch and there was still a little bit of snow on the ground. I wrote my name in it and it made me happy.

2. I made hay stacks! The first time it was a disaster. The second time, after some advice from my Aunt Mary, it was perfect.

3. It was Brook's birthday and we (me and Sierra) made her cupcakes.

4. My dog crosses his leg like a lady.

5. At lunch today Sierra found a chip that was shaped exactly like a leaf

The End!

Differences

Sometimes it amazes me how different me and Andrew are. Here is one little example

Andrews towel is the one on the right. It Is neat, folded, and put in it's place. My towel is on the left. At least it's in it's place. Most mornings l leave it on the couch where it has fallen from its bundle atop my head while I put my make-up on

I love our differences and I embrace them. It was easy for me to get use to Andrew's neatness. I like neatness, I am just not very good at it unless people are coming over then it has to be spick and span!

Crisis and Ice Cream

So Sierra and I had lunch together like normal. This day (yesterday) we decided to get out of the office and have our lunch at Sonic. We ordered a drink and had our lunch they we packed at home. We sat ate our lunch, talked, listened to the radio, etc.

About 45 minutes into our lunch we noticed the radio turned off. I thought it had just timed out so I tried to turn it back on...it did not turn back on.

MY CAR BATTERY DIED!

So we panicked for a second and realized that Ben's (Sierra's husband) class had gotten canceled and he was able to come and jump my car off. I like to call Ben my car savior. He has changed my tire multiple times and has now jumped my car off. Andrew always is somewhere where he can't get to me faster than Ben can sooo...Ben helps me.

Here are some pictures from our adventure:

Sierra and I got ice cream to pass the time.

Ben made it!

After Ben successfully jumped my car off we returned to work only 30 minutes after we were supposed to be back :)

Snow adventure?

So here is the story. We volunteered to take a fried to Birmingham to catch a flight. Her flight left Sunday. We left at 1 and ran into a little snow at the beginning. I am scared to death because I am from the southern united states and we don't drive in snow. Right? On the way to Birmingham we saw a bunch of wrecks. The worst was a ten car pile up. We made it safely to Birmingham.

Now we return to Starkville. This is where it gets bad we have to stop every so often to de-ice our car so it will function properly

This pile of ice came out of one wheel well of our car. In case you don't know we drive a Honda Fit. We Alain had to get the ice off the wipers so the would work.

I wish you could have seen the amount of snow coming down us. The roads were covered and we were sliding all over the place. We started to get use to it. This picture us coming through Columbus at 25 to 40 miles an hour.

So we FINALLY make it home. I never thought we were going to make it. We are coming up to a stop sign at a hill. We try to make and the FIT IS NOT GO. Thankfully random guy was outside watching us slide back down the hill. The guy and Andrew get out and push us up the hill why I drive. We make it up the hill. The picture above is us not making it up the drive way. The tracks are were we tried

The fit slept and still is on the road

We did make it home in time to play in the snow!

Puppy prints!

Andrew made a little snow man!

The end!
